You gave me some useful tips some time back (RootsMagic4 and SugarSync) which proved to be very good ones. Now I’m asking you for another tip.
I need to create a website for the extended family so people can upload/download photos and other genealogy files. I want to control access although some pages can be made public. Of course, I don’t want to spend any more money than I need to, but I recognize you generally get what you pay for. I don’t mind working with HMTL or other tagging languages, but I don’t want my relatives to have to deal with technical challenges. I don’t need fancy presentation or calendars, although a wiki/comment board would be nice.
I’ve looked at google sites (I’m unsure how private it really is) and myfamily.com (a bit simplistic and limited space-wise for the price) and I’m wondering if there is something in-between I may have missed. Do you have any suggestions?
