I have my own set of Tuckers to research (from South Carolina), but it is interesting that my set of Tuckers were pretty literate people (as yours were, I guess), and that they were often prone to keep day books, journals, diaries, and of course, they sent letters! What a treasure trove those letters are! The Tuckers ended up in Mississippi (my line) and when Samuel Moses Tucker passed away in 1883, his second wife (mother of 11 children) migrated to Utah with as many of her kids that would go with her.
